EBBW Vale’s remarkable season was capped off by captain Damien Hudd being named as Principality Premiership player of the season.
The 35-year-old lock was a leading figure in the Steelmen’s title triumph and he scooped the top honour at the awards at Principality Stadium, beating teammate Ronny Kynes and Aberavon's Jay Baker to the prize.
Ebbw flanker Kynes got the top try scorer trophy after scoring 16 times in the regular season while Vale wing Ryan Gardner won the vote for try of the season thanks to the excellent team score against Cross Keys at Eugene Cross Park.
Aberavon’s Baker won the newcomer honour and Llandovery fly-half Jack Maynard was top points scorer with the Drovers’ Euros Evans named as coach of the year.
Cross Keys’ Angie Prangell was named as unsung hero and the Pandy Park club also won the fair play award while Ben Whitehouse was named as referee of the season.
