GWENT Police have named the man who died in the car crash on the A467 between Rogerstone and the Bassaleg roundabout as Robert Dean.
Mr Dean, 65, of Cwmcarn, was driving a convertible Vauxhall Astra and was pronounced dead at the scene on Friday, July 15.
The crash occurred at around 4.30pm and involved an Isuzu pick-up track.
Anyone with information regarding the crash is urged to call Gwent Police on 101 quoting log 354 of 15/07/16.
